Matthew DellaNeve

Who Am I?

I'm Matthew, a software developer and recent graduate from the Rochester Institute of Technology with a B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science.

I have over a year of work experience in front-end development using Angular and back-end development using Django (Python) and ASP.NET (C#).

Outside of work, I have a passion for functional programming, compiler design, and programming language theory. When I'm not thinking about programming, you'll usually find me playing video games and discovering new music to add to my vinyl collection.

Work

As a software engineer, my focus is delivering high quality software with a focus on rigorous testing, ensuring that users have an equally high quality experience. My past work focused on streamlining communication, both among internal teams who need to track logistics details as they arrive, and between a company and its clients as they manage hundreds of insurance policies. This involved maintaining REST APIs, creating new web components, developing automated testing suites, and more.

Over the last 4 years, I've had the opportunity to work with companies of all different sizes, whether that be a fast-growing startup, a large established enterprise, or something in between. However big or small, you'll find that I adapt well to the environment. Each company also provided me the opportunity to continue learning and growing my skillset, making me a more well-rounded engineer and team member. Want to Hire Me?

I am actively looking for new opportunities! While I'm experienced in developing web applications, I'm always open to working in new areas of software engineering, including compiler construction, networking, embedded systems, internet of things, and more.

I'm also open to any mode of work, whether that be in-person, remote, or hybrid. That being said, I have a preference for opportunities that allow some capacity to work from home. Feel free to email me at mjdellaneve@gmail.com and I'll be happy to have a conversation with you.
